This painting was created in collaboration between Joanne and a robot arm. Joanne painted the under-painting and the robot painted the final layers. Joanne developed the painting software that the robot uses to select colors, apply paint and clean the brushes. This work is part of Joanne’s ongoing investigation to incorporate technology into her fine-art painting process.
